The Golden Gate Bridge across the San Francisco Bay is among the most recognizable structures in the world, and one of the most beautiful examples of bridge engineering, connects the city of San Francisco to Marin County.

Many experts said Golden Gate Bridge couldn’t be built. The ocean tides here are strong, with swirling currents, water 335 feet (102 m) deep at the center of the channel, and almost constant winds of 60 mph (97 km/h).

The waters below the bridge are rough, may be as cold as 47 °F (8 °C), and great white sharks are sometimes seen under the bridge.

One of the modern "Wonders of the World" the Golden Gate Bridge view is beautiful, drive and walk over is unforgettable, and the bridge is a popular place among photographers and tourists.
